The Girl With No Wings and The Girl With The Broken Wings have each been left by their lovers. Their dreams dashed, they meet and make an instant connection. The Motionless is an intensely beautiful road movie about people incapable of moving on.

As The Girl With No Wings and The Girl With Broken Wings travel together towards the sea, they also move closer to their innermost selves and a relationship they never could have imagined. On their journey, they meet The Shattered Boy, who joins up for the ride. The trio moves between cityscapes, waterfalls, small towns and the seashore, trying to fill the empty spaces each has. When you have lost everything, all that is left is to fill back up again.

Haunting black and white cinematography, combined with a poetic script and an aching score make this Spanish piece truly avant-garde. Playfully exuberant and heartbreaking at the same time, The Motionless is a uniquely impressive feat of experimental cinema.
